Dale J. Christoffersen, 71 of Weston, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.

He was born on March 9, 1941 in Marshfield, son of the late Borgar and Helen (Olander) Christoffersen.  Dale married Sally Glasel on November 27, 1965 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau.  He worked as a logger, in sales for car parts, and most recently as a school bus driver.  Dale was a handy man, often creating simple solutions for daily life by his creative tinkering.  He loved cars and restored several throughout his life, and guns which he would buy, trade, and sell.  Dale also enjoyed going boating on Lake Tomahawk.  He adored his family and his cats – lovingly referred to as his "furkids", Pepper and Mr. Pearl.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sally Christoffersen of Weston; his daughter, Krisann Christoffersen of Wausau; and two grandchildren, Lilith and Noah.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Borg, and sister, Rosemarie.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St. Wausau.  Rev. Theodore B. Gulhaugen of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Ogema, WI.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
