Police have recovered a body from a river near downtown Milwaukee, not far from where a 28-year-old man went missing nearly two weeks ago after drinking with friends.
Police have not identified the body which was taken to the medical examiner. The body was spotted in the Milwaukee River about 11 a.m. Thursday north of the Manpower headquarters.
WTMJ-TV says family members of the missing man, Thomas Hecht, were at the scene of the recovery. Hecht and his friends were out on nearby Water St. before he disappeared March 10 after leaving the group by himself.
