Milwaukee man gets 17 years for prostitution, kidnapping
MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) -
A Milwaukee man will spend 17 years behind bars after being convicted of prostitution and kidnapping charges.
Last summer, a Marathon County jury found Derrick Thornton guilty on charges of kidnapping, human trafficking, pandering and pimping, and solicitation of prostitutes. In October of 2010 -- Thornton kidnapped a woman and brought her to Wausau to act as a prostitute. After finishing his sentence, he'll spend another 13 years under extended supervision.
