Reita M. Witkowski age 87 of Plover passed away Saturday evening March 27, 2012 at St. Michael's Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Reita will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday March 30, 2012 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church.  Rev. James Trempe will officiate.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services Friday at the church.  Shuda Funeral Services of Plover and Stevens Point assisted the family.

Reita was born July 5, 1924 in Tomah, the daughter of Rollin and Una (Reich) Sutton.  She earned her bachelors teaching certificate from UW- La Crosse.  She taught elementary school in Kendall, New Lisbon, and Wisconsin Rapids.  She retired from teaching in 1990 from Wisconsin Rapids.  She married Walter Witkowski July 29, 1971 in Mauston, the couple settled in Plover.  They loved to travel together and visit with family and friends.  She volunteered at St. Vincents and  enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Reita is survived by three brothers: Bob (Barb) Sutton, Tomah; Royal (Kathy) Sutton, Dallas, PA; Dale (Sandy) Sutton, Milwaukee.  Two sisters Alice (Richard) Thurston, Tomah and Helen Sutton, Phoenix, AZ.  Several Nieces and Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter in 2009.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.shudafuneral.com
