MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Brewers baseball fans in Milwaukee will be able to continue to listen to play-by-play on the WTMJ-AM.
The Milwaukee Brewers and the station announced Thursday they planned to continue their partnership, but the terms of the new contract were disclosed. The current contract lasted through the 2012 season.
Newsradio 620 WTMJ has served as the team's radio flagship for all but two seasons since the team moved to Milwaukee in 1970 from Seattle. The only two seasons the station didn't cover the games was in 1981 and 1982 when WISN-AM took over.
Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger said the team and the WTMJ-AM have one of the longest-standing partnerships in professional sports.
This season will be Bob Uecker's 42nd as announcer.
