Elsie Falkowski, 96, Mosinee, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home under the care of Aseracare Hospice.
She was born on May 15, 1915 in Whiting, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Rutkowski) Kleman.
On February 7, 1934, she was united in marriage to Charles Falkowski, Sr. in the township of Reid.  He preceded her in death on September 22, 1993.
Elsie and Charles farmed in the town of Bevent until 1956.  They then purchased the Bevent Store and operated that for 12 years.  Elsie was a lifetime member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, especially pinochle and canasta, playing scrabble and puzzles.  Elsie had a way of making everyone feel like they were her favorite.  She loved spending time with her children and all her grandchildren.
Survivors include  four daughters, Mary Walkowski, Kronenwetter, Irma (Richard) Walkowski, St. Germain, Betty (Donald) Bilicki, Marietta, GA and Carol Grulkowski, Mosinee; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Andrew (Geraldine) Kleman, Schofield, Evelyn Marciniak, Milwaukee, Ethel (Joe) Cherek, Milwaukee, Daniel Kleman, Hatley and David (Merna) Kleman, Weston. Elsie is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Sandra Falkowski, Hatley; sister-in-law, Clara Kleman, Hatley and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Falkowski, Jr., one brother, Clarence Kleman; one grandson, Dustin Charneski; one grandson-in-law, Mark Staszak and one son-in-law, Clarence Walkowski.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent.  Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9am until the time of services at the church.  Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.  The family guestbook and condolences are available at schmidtschulta.com.
