The National Weather Service has issued a new tornado watch that includes Adams and Juneau Counties until 3 a.m. Monday morning. (CNN)--A new study shows roughly half of America's pre-school-aged children are not getting a daily dose of outdoor playtime.
Researchers looked at nearly nine-thousand pre-schoolers nationwide.42-percent did not go outside daily.
The study found gender and race played a role.Researchers also found mothers are more likely than fathers to take their children outside to play.
Experts recommend children play outside for at least 60 minutes a day. They say being outdoors improves weight control, motor development, vision and vitamin D levels.
