Unnecessary medical tests?

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Nine medical societies have made a list of tests and treatments they say shouldn't be automatic when people see their doctors.

They say more is not necessarily better and money could be saved in an industry where costs are rising.

The 45 recommendations include most repeat colonoscopies within 10 years of the first test, and antibiotics for mild- to-moderate sinus distress.
