GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Kevin Borseth says he enjoyed the challenge and the people at Michigan. But he's ready to walk away from a bigger school, a bigger conference and a bigger paycheck.
Borseth is returning to coach the Wisconsin-Green Bay women's basketball team, a program he led for nine seasons from 1998 to 2007 before he left for Michigan.
WBAY-TV reports (http://bit.ly/HqkuK2 ) a tearful Borseth told reporters Thursday that he wasn't happy in his five years at Michigan. He says the life didn't fit him, and his family urged him to do what he needed to be happy.
Green Bay athletic director Ken Bothof called Borseth after his successor, Matt Bollant, left to coach at Illinois.
Borseth left some big shoes to fill five years ago. He admits the shoes are bigger now.
