Walker starts campaign swing at Dane farm

DANE (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is launching a statewide campaign swing across Wisconsin.

Walker began Tuesday with a stop at a town of Dane just north of Madison. About 50 people showed up to cheer on Walker, his wife and two teenage sons, and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

Both Walker and Kleefisch face recall elections June 5.

Retired steamfitter Mike Reynders of Fort Atkinson says he is discouraged that Walker is facing a recall election just 18 months into his term when he should get the full four years. Reynders was holding a sign that says "Union Steamfitters for Walker."

Walker tells his supporters that the recall is a choice between moving the state forward or going backward. He says his agenda that sparked the recall are moving Wisconsin forward.
