WAUSAU (WAOW) - The Women's Community will show its new $3.2 million facility during open houses later this month.
The facility serves victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault
Executive Director Jane Graham Jennings said, "The building is finished, our clients are ready to take occupancy, and we are celebrating!"
The facility was built through a four year capital campaign.
According to a press release, the new facility is fully accessible for clients with disabilities, can accommodate up to 40 women and children, and features ten private bedrooms with private baths. Common areas include a living room, children's discovery room, teen area, art room, a kitchen, lounge, and laundry facilities.
The open houses are scheduled for Friday, April 20 from 5-8pm and Saturday, April 21 from 10am-2pm.
