UPDATE - Two preliminary hearings are scheduled for the bus driver accused of exposing himself to a child.

Bobb Bergman was arrested and charged in April after an 11 year old Merrill student told his parents he received unwanted text messages from Bergman.

Earlier this month Bergman's lawyers argued that three of the four felony counts filed should be dropped.   The court denied the motion.

The preliminary hearings are set for October 19, 2012 and November 16, 2012.

LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW)--A school bus driver has been arrested in Lincoln County. He's accused of exposing himself to a child.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, Bobb Bergman, 51, of Gleason was arrested Friday morning as he began his bus route. Officers say an 11-year-old Merrill student told his parents he received unwanted text messages from Bergman. They reported this information to the department on Wednesday.

The Lincoln County District Attorney is charging Bergman with exposing himself to a child, exposing a child to harmful material, causing mental harm to a child, and stalking. All charges are felonies.

Bergman was taken to the Lincoln County Jail. He was released Friday afternoon after he posted bond.

The name of the bus driving company has not yet been released.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

A message was left on Bergman's phone seeking comment.
