Taylor County cold case

The Taylor County Sheriff, Bruce Daniels is reminded of murder victim Jean Viken every day at work. He keeps a picture of Viken on a desk in his office. Daniels says, "It's something I think about daily, nightly--it is not going away."

Jean Viken was 39  when she vanished from her home in the Taylor County,  Town of Holway, in January of 2008. Her van was discovered, one week later, in the Chequamegon National Forest. In May, her body was discovered miles away. An autopsy showed Viken had been shot to death.

Taylor County investigators hope to generate new leads in the case. Sheriff Daniels says, "No detail is too small or too insignificant. Obviously, we're hoping to get to the bottom of this and bring some closure to her family."
