RHINELANDER (WAOW) -
Rhinelander restaurant owner Rob Swearingen announced his campaign for the 34th Assembly District. He's running as a Republican. The seat is currently held by Dan Meyer (R-Eagle River). Meyer is retiring from the position.
In a press release, Swearingen says, "Everyone knows that the most important issue facing Wisconsin today is the economy. I plan to use my track record of success as a business owner to help build a better business climate that will translate into jobs for Northern Wisconsin."
Swearingen is a life-long resident of Rhinelander.
