Athlete of the Week: Elliot Ashbeck

Elliot Ashbeck from Marshfield is arguably the best quarterback in the Valley Conference last season.  He was also the Valley's leading scorer in basketball.  

But he's our Athlete of the Week for what he's done on the baseball diamond.  
Ashbeck is the program's all time hits leader.  He reached his 92nd hit against Merrill last Friday. The Tigers senior broke the record held by Sully Luepke, who held it for just one year.  

Ashbeck was able to accumulate the nearly 100 hits by performing right out of the gate as a freshman.  Maintaining the productivity by staying in great shape playing sports year round.  

He's also a stud on the mound.  He's 3-0 this season; striking out 21 batters in just two Valley games. And Ashbeck recently signed to play baseball at Division I Bradley.
