Former wrestler plans to sue Wisconsin Rapids School District
A former wrestler and his family plan to sue the Wisconsin Rapids School District, because they say administrators and coaches failed to protect the teenager from being harassed.
We attempted to contact school officials and coaches involved, but they did not return our calls.
According to the teen's attorney, Christine Bremer Muggli, a notice of circumstances has been filed, letting district officials know they plan to pursue a lawsuit. In the complaint, the former wrestler's legal council says staff members didn't take steps to stop the abuse.
Three members of the Wisconsin Rapids wrestling team pleaded no contest last month to disorderly conduct charges. Authorities say they danced naked around the locker room, at times touching their genitals to the former wrestler.
A fourth member, Rylan Lubeck, faces a felony stalking charge. He will head to trial next month.
