People at the Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee witnessed the departure of another Never Forgotten Honor Flight. The program flies World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. so they can see the war memorials built in their honor.
The Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, now hosts a spouse luncheon. It brings together the veterans spouses, so they do something special, while their loved ones take part in the Honor Flight festivities.
The luncheon at the Woodson gave the spouses a chance to visit with others who have loved ones who served during WWII. They also toured the gallery, which now has a NASA exhibit and then the spouses worked on art projects of their own.
Organizers say, the event provides the spouses with a meaningful experience, they can share with the veterans, when they return home.
