Randlin Homes holds a brat fry to help pay the bills

WAUSAU (WAOW) -

We have a follow up on a Wausau non-profit that is in deep financial trouble.

Yesterday, Randlin Homes leaders told Newsline 9, they owe $60,000 in bills, including more than $26,000, just for rent and utilities.

In hopes of helping themselves out of debt, leaders of Randlin Homes are selling brats at Wal-Mart in Rib Mountain. The organization helps the homeless, the disabled, and veterans.

"The money that we make through this brat fry will also help us keep our doors open, and our lights on," said Bob Frome, resident at Randlin Homes.

Leaders said they hope to bring in $1,000 from the brat fry to help pay the bills, so far it's brought in $150.

And they have been getting help from the community, Randlin Homes got a $750 donation Thursday night.
