WAUSAU (WAOW) -
With just days left in the campaign two democratic front-runners have emerged in the recall primary election-Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Kathleen Falk.
Falk stopped in Wausau on Sunday. She told a crowd of supporters she is the best candidate to face Governor Walker. The former Dane County Executive says she is trying to make the most of the remaining days before the primary.
"There are still a lot of undecided voters," said Falk. "That's one reason I'm trying to be in as many places as I can. To talk to people and answer questions. People are very serious about getting this job done and we now have 29 days to do it."
Her opponent, Tom Barrett met with supporters Sunday in Milwaukee. He urged voters to head to polls on his behalf.
"We are putting all of our energies on getting out to vote on Tuesday, and making sure people know how important Tuesday is," said Barrett.
Two other candidates are also vying for the chance to unseat Governor Walker. They are Secretary of State Doug La Follette, and State Senator Kathleen Vinehout.
Governor walker told reporters on Sunday he believes voters will keep in him in office. He's facing a "placeholder" candidate in Tuesday's primary.
