Mich. governor introduces Romney at LCC appearance
LANSING, Mich. (AP) -
Gov. Rick Snyder says Michigan native Mitt Romney is the right person to make the changes in Washington that have helped Michigan's economy revive.
Romney campaigned Tuesday at Lansing Community College, where Snyder introduced him.
Snyder says the changes Michigan has made to cut taxes and regulations and balance its budget are needed in Washington.
He says Romney would be the right person to make those changes for the entire country.
As Romney has moved closer to nailing down the GOP nomination and picking a running mate, some have mentioned Snyder as a possible vice presidential candidate. Snyder hasn't ruled out running, but says he's more interested in remaining governor of Michigan.
The likelihood of Romney picking a running mate who comes from Romney's native state is low.
