Hostess may cut workers in Wisconsin

Hostess may lay off more than 180 workers in Wisconsin as part of its plan to get out of bankruptcy.

In a filing with the state Department of Workforce Development, Hostess said it may have to shut down or significantly scale down operations at its plants in nine cities: Madison, De Pere, Sheboygan, Oshkosh, Brookfield, Greenfield, Wausau, La Crosse and Eau Claire.

Hostess says the change may affect about 184 employees.

Hostess' facility in Wausau is at 5815 Packer Drive.

The company filed for bankruptcy in January.
