A new food pantry in Antigo opened its doors to the public on Wednesday.
The pantry is a collaboration between four churches in Langlade County. Organizers said they saw this as an opportunity to do more together than each church could do on its own. People in need can choose from a variety of non-perishable foods. There is also a special section with produce, bread and frozen food.
"Of course this would not be possible without the generosity of the Antigo area community, who have been most helpful in advice and donations," said pantry steering committee president Donna Ruf. "We certainly appreciate their support and look forward to their continued support."
The pantry will be open twice a week -- on Wednesdays from 1-6PM and on Fridays from 9AM-1PM.
If you want to stop by, the pantry is located at 637 Superior Street in Antigo. If you would like to volunteer or find out more information, you can call the pantry at 715.623.1103.
