NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Titans have hired Green Bay police chief Jim Arts as the team's new director of security, replacing Steve Berk who's retiring.
Arts spent 26 years with the Green Bay Police Department, including the last five as chief. He worked closely with the Green Bay Packers on planning and coordinating security for home games.
Mike Reinfeldt, the team's chief operating officer, said Thursday that Arts has the skills and experience that fits the Titans' needs by working with a team from the outside and understanding what works for a city and an NFL team. Reinfeldt says Arts has big shoes to fill replacing Berk, who worked for the franchise 16 years.
Arts is a native of Wisconsin and started as a cadet with the Green Bay department.
