Fundraiser collects money for Kampmeyer Fund

A fundraiser in memory of a firefighter who died in the line of duty raised $1,720.

A group called Leader Central Inc. raised money through a raffle.  The winning names were drawn Saturday at Sunnyvale Park in Wausau.

Leader Central Inc. President/Founder Chad Mauk says the money will be donated to the Jamison Kampmeyer Memorial Fund or wherever Kampmeyer's family sees fit.
Kampmeyer died in March while battling a blaze at the historic Abby Theatre in Abbotsford.  He was also a Marathon County Sheriff's Deputy.
Sandy Kozlowski of Weston won the raffle's grand prize.  The prize included 2 Sprint Tower tickets to Speed Weeks 2013, which includes seats at the Budweiser Duel on 2/21/13, the NextERA Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on 2/22/13, the Daytona 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on 2/23/13, and the 55th Daytona 500® NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on 2/24/13, which will include the VIP experience for the weekend. The VIP experience includes a tour of the NASCAR garage, a Pre-Race/Sprint FAN ZONE access on Sunday for the Daytona 500® and access to the Gatorade Victory Lane on Sunday night to celebrate with the Daytona 500® champion driver and team.
