27-year-old killed in rollover crash in Taylor Co.
TAYLOR COUNTY (PRESS RELEASE) -
On May 22, 2012, at 9:29 p.m., the Taylor County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Cty Hwy E, approximately one mile south of Park Road in the Town of Westboro.
On arrival of emergency responders, a 2003 Toyota Corolla passenger car was located in the east ditch of Cty Hwy E.
After assessing the scene, a brief search was conducted and a single male victim was located. It appeared as though the driver and lone occupant of the Corolla had been traveling south on Cty Hwy E. The vehicle ultimately left the roadway, entered the east ditch, overturned multiple times and broke off several trees approximately 15 feet in the air. The driver, identified as 27-year-old David Mularczyk of Kennan, Wi was ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency responders from the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, Medford Police Dept., Westboro Fire Dept., Rib Lake First Responders, Medevac, and Rib Lake Ambulance responded to this call for service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Taylor County Medical Examiner.
While investigation into this matter continues, it's believed that speed and alcohol were contributing factors to this crash.
