MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Brewers right-hander Marco Estrada was forced to leave the game after sustaining a right leg injury while running out a double in the first inning Wednesday against San Francisco.
Estrada pulled up after rounding first base, then gingerly ran to second without a play as left-fielder Melky Cabrera retrieved the ball.
After stretching the leg and talking to trainers and manager Ron Roenicke for a few minutes, Estrada slowly walked off the field. Zack Greinke pinch ran for Estrada, and Manny Parra replaced him on the mound.
Estrada's double down the left-field line scored two runners and gave Milwaukee a 6-0 lead off San Francisco starter Barry Zito.
Estrada had thrown a perfect inning in the top of the first. He is 0-3 with a 4.50 ERA in 11 games.
