Municipal clerks are busy across the state of Wisconsin are busy filling voter requests for absentee ballots. The Government Accountability Board says 90,000 absentee ballots have been requested by voters.
At Wausau City Hal , the City Clerk says they have been busy since such voting started May 21. City Clerk Toni Rayala says it has been a busy time for her office. "We've had many requests for absentee ballots. Especially with the political mailers sent out by both parties and special interest groups... we have had 400-500 .. it has increased substantially.
Due to the increase in absentee ballots and the interest in the May primary the city of Wausau will add poll workers for next week's recall race. Rayala says, "I think we could have 50% voter turnout
