Another candidate has announced his intention to run for the 85th Assembly District seat.
Libertarian Jim Maas of Rothschild sent out a press release Tuesday night, announcing his bid for the seat. Maas reports that he has already submitted nomination papers to the Government Accountability Board.
"The relationship between Madison and Washington is out of whack and must be brought back to the Constitutional standards our representatives have pledged to 'preserve and protect.' Washington has usurped Wisconsin's powers and privileges to the point where the Founders would not recognize the relationship," Maas is quoted as saying in the press release.
Maas, who ran previously in 2010, joins a full field of candidates who hope to replace Rep. Donna Seidel (D-Wausau) who is running in the recall election for State Senate. Democrats Mandy Wright and Jeff Johnson and Republican Pat Snyder have announced their intentions to run for the seat.
