A Wausau man has claimed a $1 million lottery ticket.
Joel Goulet validated the winning ticket from last Friday's Mega Millions jackpot drawing, according to Wisconsin Lottery officials. He bought the ticket from Fast Break Mobil on Thomas Avenue.
Goulet received a lump sum payment of $672,500 after taxes, the Wisconsin Lottery reported.
This is the third ticket worth at least $1 million sold in Wisconsin in May. A Chilton woman and a Milwaukee man also won prizes.
Family members and friends gathered and remembered 39 year old Christopher Race Monday afternoon at First Congregational Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
