Stevens Point, DC Everest, Marshfield and Assumption all captured regional soccer titles Saturday and move on to Thursday's sectional semifinal round.
In division three, Assumption faced a tough task as it tries to return to state for the second straight season. The Royals played Newman to a scoreless tie in the regular season, but the Cardinals gave Assumption all it could handle Saturday.
Newman tied things up at two with just nine minutes to play, but Mary Sigler punched in the game winner to lift Assumption to the regional title.
In division one, SPASH scored early in the second half and tacked on an insurance goal to come away with a 2-0 win. DC Everest scored in the opening minute of the second half and added two more to beat Hudson 3-0.
Marshfield battled back from a 1-0 deficit against Rhinelander to beat the Hodags 3-2.
