An explosion and blaze at a duplex on the north side of Milwaukee has injured six people, including five firefighters.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported (http://bit.ly/LezQP1) Sunday that emergency personnel responded about 6:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of gas leak at a two-story brick duplex.
The newspaper says the duplex exploded shortly after firefighters arrived on the scene. It says three people - two firefighters and one civilian - suffered serious burns while the other three people hurt in the blast sustained minor injuries.
The resulting fire was quickly struck, and the cause of the explosion is being investigated.
