Ballot box issues in Kronenwetter, manual box used

Voting officials in Kronenwetter say a ballot box jammed, and a manual box had to be used for more than an hour.

"In the meantime, we had all these people lined up to vote. We went and got the stand by ballot boxes with the padlock on it," Kronenwetter Chief Voting Inspector Judy Beier said.

Election officials say this did not affect any ballots or the vote count.

They say the county officials brought in another machine and poll workers manually added the ballots to the electronic box once it was fixed.

Beier says voters have been rolling in at a steady pace all day, and they expect it to pick up around dinner time.

Voting officials say they expect about a 60 percent voter turnout.
