Voter turnout expected to be high in election

Reports are showing that voters across the state are casting their ballots in big numbers. The experts predicted a record-breaking turnout, but the reality may even surpass their expectations.

Some people around the state have reported waiting in long lines as they wait to fill out their ballots. Voter turnout is expected to be around 65% for today's election as many polling places in our area are reporting high numbers already.

A few issues were reported in our area; a damaged tabulator in Rothschild and a broken machine in Kronenwetter. Apart from those, the state's government accountability board says there have not been any widespread problems.

You do not need to bring a photo ID to vote in this election. If you aren't registered to vote, you can do that at your polling place too.

The polls close at 8 p.m. We will continue to collect numbers in this turnout and bring you the latest tonight.
