Road work could cause delays in Wausau

WisDOT officials say routine inspections could cause some traffic delays in Wausau this week.

Crews will be inspecting the westbound ramp of Highway 29 Monday and Tuesday. At least one lane will be closed both days.

Also, the eastbound Highway 29 ramp that connects to Highway 51 north will be closed from 4 p.m.  Monday to Tuesday at 4 p.m.

In addition, the Highway 51 north exit to Sherman St. will be closed for four hours, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday.

There are a few more lane closures you should be aware of..

Northbound US 51 between the County NN off-ramp and the Stewart Avenue bridge will be reduced to a single lane Monday and Tuesday nights from 6 to 10 p.m. At the same times on US 51 south, traffic will be down to a single lane between the Highway 52 off-ramp and Big Rib River bridge..
