Two bears hit in the same location

Lincoln County Deputies report that two bears were hit in the same place in the last two weeks.

At 5:30 p.m. on June 6, a Wausau man struck and killed a bear on US Hwy 51 near the north County Road K in the Town of Birch. Another bear was struck and killed by a Tomahawk man on US Highway 51 at State Road 64 in the Town of Pine River. 
 
Those two strikes are part of an increasing number of animal-related crashes. A total of twelve deer crashes were also this past week.
