SPASH headed to state

SPASH softball is the defending Division 1 State  Champions, and the lady Panthers will have a shot to defend that title starting Thursday in Madison.
They earned that spot with a 3-0 win over Beaver Dam on Thursday.
SPASH was the run away champ in the Valley Conference this season, and set a school record with 22 home runs.
They'll go into the State Tournament with a defense and offense that was even better than last year's Championship winning team.
The Stevens Point baseball team has made it to state for the first time since 2004.
The Panthers beat Hudson on Tuesday, and will take on Oconomowoc Tuesday in Appleton.
SPASH was the Wisconsin Valley champ this season, and goes into the state tournament with a 21-6 record.
The Panthers say getting there was a big accomplishment, but simply getting there isn't enough.  They'd like to win it this year.
