Father's celebrate their special day

For the Wagman's, Father's Day started with something extra special.

"We let Daddy sleep in and then we brought him breakfast in bed," Shannon Wagman and her two daughters Sydney and Sophia said. "It was eggs, blueberries and bagels," Sydney chimed in.

And after breakfast it was off to the golf course, as a family.

"It's important to spend time with your family everyday but its nice to have a certain to recognize it," John Wagman said as he loaded up his golf cart.

And on top of all that love, there might even be a present or two.

"Dad is actually making us a steak dinner tonight," Shannon and the girls said.

Many others celebrated Father's Day on the water. Fishing, boating, even white water rafting.

"My daughter is here with me paddling and we'll pack up and have a nice father's day dinner afterwards at home," Neal Schroeter said.

Schroeter and his family traveled all the way from Michigan to spend the weekend by the water. And this Dad says, it's the perfect way to spend the day.

"It's really special to be able to do something together," Schroeter said.

But whether you're celebrating with your children close by, or wishing Dad a happy Father's Day by phone, Father's we talked to agree, it's the thought that counts.

"It's important to do things together and enjoy it," Shannon said.
