Rafters win streak comes to an end

Posted:

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters team-record eight-game winning streak came to an end with a 3-2 loss in La Crosse Friday.

The La Crosse Loggers took the lead in the eighth inning and held on for the victory. Scored Steven Pallares scored on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 8th to give Loggers the lead for good.

Tyler Kuresa racked up two RBIs on three hits for the La Crosse Loggers. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters couldn't get anything going so long as Jacob Dorris was on the hill. Dorris held the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Kenny Towns couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out two, and allowed one run.
