The Badger state games was held this weekend, at Stiehm Stadium and a pair of former DC Everest graduates took part.
Best friends Matt Kerswill and Jack Micholic raced on their home track.
Matt just finished his third year in Madison, where he was part of the Big Ten championship team for the Badgers.
Jack recently finished his first year, at Hamline University, nd went to state three times in high school. They say they enjoy the event, and love seeing those competitors who are bit further removed from high school athletics.
Paul Lehmkuhl is part of the Thunderbird track and field club in Minocqua. He's 79 years old and is the oldest competitor this year at the games. Lehmkuhl is part of four events. The long jump, triple, high jump and hurdles. He's also part of the winter state games, competing in speed skating and snowshoeing, and he has no plans to stop.
