Representative Jerry Petrowski (R-Marathon) will be sworn in as a State Senator Tuesday.
According to a press release, the oath of office ceremony will take place in Marathon County Circuit Court Branch 5 at 11:00 a.m. Judge Mike Moran will administer the oath.
Petrowski won the recall election against Representative Donna Seidel (D-Wausau) on June 5. The recall election targeted Republican Pam Galloway of Wausau. She held the seat until March, when she abruptly announced her decision to step down.
In November, voters will select a new representative to serve in the 86th district. So far, the race pits Weston Democrat Dennis Halkoski against Marathon Republican Wayne Thorson.
