A happy ending for a gray tabby cat left for dead near Stevens Point.
Teenager Gino Bulak found the cat hanging from a rope on a dam at Jordan Park last week.
After the cat was examined at the Portage County Humane Society, Gino told Newsline 9 he was able to formally adopt the pet Saturday.
He named the cat Lucky-- a fitting name he says for an animal that beat the odds.
Gino says the cat is adjusting to its new home and he says he couldn't be happier to give the animal a new life.
One year later, Bob Look - Dianne's husband, and Scott Sann - Sara'shusband, remember every detail of the tragic day.
Residents are being asked to support a $2.5 million referendum to maintain buildings, programs and staff.
