Being outside on Tuesday may have felt like you were stuck in an oven. So we found a way to take advantage of the heat and have a little fun too.
Temperatures were in the 90's outside and it got even hotter inside one of our news cars where we baked cookies.
We started baking the dough around 1 PM. Some watched it live on our website. It was so hot in there, even our camera stopped working. The butter started melting out of the dough. That's because it only got up to about 150 degrees inside so some of the butter melted before it could bake in to the mix. Maybe that just means they're a little bit better for you than usual.
By the end, the cookies were a golden brown color and despite being a little doughy, they were not bad at all.
