New details have been released on the crash that injured five people in Rib Mountain. The crash between a motorcycle and a car occurred Thursday around 5 p.m.
According to Lt. Dale Wisnewski of the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, Kevin Kautzer, 50, of Rib Lake turned left from Highway N onto Red Bud Road in front of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle driven by Randy Furger, 64, of Marathon City slammed into the side of the car.
Wisnewski says Furger suffered a broken arm. So did the passenger in the car, Beverly Johnson.
Kautzer received citations for inattentive driving and failure to yield while making a left turn. Wisnewski says alcohol was not a factor.
Two children in the car suffered minor injuries. All five people were treated at Aspirus Hospital.
Five people were hurt Thursday in a car versus motorcycle crash in Rib Mountain. The crash happened on County Road "N" around 5:00 p.m.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Department tells Newsline 9, two people were taken to the hospital. Investigators haven't released much information.
