Portage County man sentenced for alleged plot to kill wife

The Portage County man accused of plotting to kill his wife was sentenced Tuesday.

51-year-old Rocky Neuman was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison and four years of extended supervision. Neuman received credit for the 406 days he's already spent behind bars. The judge also ordered him to under a psychological evaluation.

In April, Neuman pleaded no contest to one count of conspiracy to hide a corpse. One count of conspiracy to commit murder and stalking were dismissed, but read in.

Investigators say he threatened to kill his estranged wife and bury her, even hiring someone to dig the grave.
