Kronenwetter has decided not to impose a tax on people in the village to deal with a groundwater problem.
The village board made their decision after a public meeting Wednesday evening that went on for more than four hours.
The board had weighed taxing part of the village to pay for a storm pipe to lower the water level because some have experienced flooding.
But many people told the board they shouldn't have to pay to fix the issue, because their homes have never flooded.
Those people are now happy that they will not be taxed, but the village administrator said no matter what happened, the board is trying to do what's best for the entire community.
Plenty of clouds the next few days, but also warmer.
