Stevens Point graduate Ben Provisor said that ever since he was a little boy it's been his dream to compete in the Olympics.
After years of hard work and dedication that dream has become a reality.
A send-off celebration was held for Provisor tonight in Plover. The 22-year-old will begin his Olympic journey in a little more than two weeks.
Some people in the wrestling community say Provisor is an under-dog heading into these Olympics
but he proved critics wrong by beating the 2008 gold medalist and then blazing through the Olympic trials.
Provisor says he's ready to make a statement in London.
"I've studied every single opponent that I'm going to have to wrestle and I'm ready to face every single one so I'm ready to do what I need to do and I'm still the best in the U.S. and I wanna get even better," Provisor said. "There's no stopping me. I'm planning on going for about 12 more years, so four more Olympics would be alright, but hopefully I can get a medal at this one."
