Stevens Point goalkeeper camp has more than 200 in attendance
Portage county youth soccer is working to put central Wisconsin on the map when it comes to developing talent. This week, youth soccer takes center stage in Stevens Point the world's largest goalkeeper camp runs through Saturday.
More than 200 young goalies are receiving training from some of the top instructors in the country. Campers have come from all over the world, including Sweden and the Grand Caymans.
Many former campers played in college and professionally. This group is hoping to develop similar success. "I think it's really good. I really love it," said camper Evelina Hellgren, who traveled from Sweden. "It's many good people here, the trainers is great, everything is good, I love it."
"It's a great camp, great staff, I just love it here every year and I've been coming for the past three years. It's been a great experience."
