Nick Addison drove in the go-ahead run to give the Eau Claire Express (21-37) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Eau Claire Express hung on to beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (23-35) 3-2 on Tuesday.
With the Eau Claire Express trailing by two, Addison came to the plate and homered, scoring Will Fadness and Casey Gillaspie.
Addison racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Eau Claire Express. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.
Andrew Hedrick baffled the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, striking out six batters. Hedrick allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over six innings.
Augey Bill was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Eau Claire Express batters and allowing zero runs.
Tony Vocca got the win, running his season record to 2-3. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Seth Fuller was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
