Weston's "Wings and Rings" changes its name to "Tailgatez"
WESTON (WAOW) -
A Weston restaurant has a new look. That's because Wings and Rings has a different name. It's now called Tailgatez.
The restaurant's general manager said they dropped the franchise tag. They had been paying between $5,000-$7,000 a month to use the company's name. But decided the restaurant would be better off without it.
"You generally buy a name to bring business. I did not believe that the name brought us the business," said Renae Tidd, who is the general manager at Tailgatez Grill and Sports Bar. "We all worked hard for all the business that we do have."
Tidd said they still have a similar menu, including wings and signature sauces. A grand re-opening is scheduled for later this month. And they will still take coupons and gift certificates from Wings and Rings.
