The 3rd Annual Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure brought a huge crowd to Wausau's 400 block.
The event kicked off with an emotional survivor parade. The survivors took a group picture, them made their way up on stage while the crowd cheered them on. Many rang bells to show their support.
The 5k run/walk started at 9:00 a.m. followed by a one mile family walk at 9:30 a.m. The race wrapped up around 10:30 a.m.
However, that's not all the event has to offer. People came to the 400 block to join in on a day devoted to finding a cure for breast cancer.
